Arthur Chong

Arthur Chong is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Broadcom Corporation. Mr. Chong, who joined Broadcom in October 2008, is responsible for the company's legal, corporate secretary and governance, and litigation activities, in addition to advising on all legal matters and overseeing the work of inside and outside legal counsel. Mr. Chong is a seasoned corporate attorney with nearly 30 years of experience in corporate governance, M&A, finance, securities law and litigation.

Prior to Broadcom, Mr. Chong served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Safeco Corporation, a property and casualty insurance company. Before joining Safeco in 2005, he served over 20 years at McKesson Corporation, a healthcare services and information technology company based in San Francisco, in a number of legal and management roles and most recently as Deputy General Counsel.

Mr. Chong received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the Harvard Law School.
